Why did you become a Freemason?

I have been affiliated with the Masonic Body since I was 13 years old, as my Grandfather suggested I petition Rainbow.

Now as an adult and AM for my Eastern Star Chapter I have dealt with the "cult" accusations a great deal, and now some 20 years later, I still a baffled by the ignorance especially by "religious" or "christian" people.

The Masonic basis of our affiliation has given me many life lessons and helped me to change my outlook on life, but most importantly, when I need support, my Masonic family is always there, without judgment.

I am dating a Mason now, as I realized I need those ties in my life, I only hope it works out.

My only wish is that more men would join Stars.

Thank you for this forum, and for upholding the education of the Masoninc Fraternity.
