Dear B:. Dryfoos,

I am currently in the process of becoming a FM. I started the procedure with a Lodge (le Cèdre) here in Brussels. The Fraternity has always interested me but when I first saw a FM's ring on one of my colleagues's fingers (in the meantime he has become one of my best friends), I started asking questions and finally also found a book ... Freemasons for Dummies!

[Webmaster's note: You can find a review of that book elsewhere on this website.]

Reading through this book, reading the other brethren's explanation as to why they became FM, and especially having been asked by several brethren as to WHY I wanted to become a FM, I think I can say now that the most important aspect is the will to be part of a Fraternity which writes principles as Honnesty, Trustworthyness, Decency, &c with captial letters! For me, even if in many circumstances, being honnest is "out", I could not act in any other way!

Looking forward to becoming part of the Fraternity!
