[Web-master's note: In a situation where you want to know the regularity of someone who wishes to visit, the right move is for the Master or Secretary of your lodge to contact your Grand Lodge, office of the Grand Secretary. Advice on regularity of other lodges and GLs is one of the GS's major functions.]
[Web-master's note: "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM" means "A NEW ORDER for the AGES" -- in other words -- a new arrangement of society in the annals of time and history, specifically the new idea of America's representative democratic republic. New? Yes: it challenged "the Divine Right of Kings" where previously legitimate power came from somebody's personal opinion of the Word of God or from the Guy with The Most Soldiers This Week. The new republic said instead that government power comes properly from "the consent of the governed". This establishment of the first functioning democratic state since ancient times was a new order of things, one which our founders hoped would not disappear but become an example and demonstration for others to follow in Ages to Come.]

[Web-master's note: Look at the Pointers section of my web-site, for Grand Lodges. Texas will be there, and they can give you info about Houston area lodges..]
[Web-master's note: I don't know about the form in Texas. The form in Massachusetts basically allows the lodge to know that you are self-supporting, not expecting to live on lodge charity; that you are a peaceable citizen, not inclined to crime and mischief; and that you can provide the names and contact info of some long-time friends and business associates who can provide reflections of your personal character. The rituals don't look like anything I have ever seen in any church. Masonry is not a religion, but it will encourage you to be a good member of whichever church/religion you already are involved with.]
