Fraternal Greetings;
It occurred to me that most of the strife in this world, past and
present, is due to religious intolerance. Not just between religions
but different sects of the same religion. The Catholics and Protestants
in Ireland is only one example of many. And we are all suffering from
the clash between religious sects in Arab Nations.
That is why I am sending this email to over 5,000 fraternal and
societal organizations affiliated with Masonry. Religious tolerance is
something we practice daily. It is part of our credo and was imparted
into the Bill of Rights of the United States of America by Masonic
leaders.
What if, in 2006, we made our goal to express to others the benefits
of religious tolerance. My grandfather used to tell me take care of the
pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves. I believe if we
could just focus on this one thing, religious tolerance, everything else
might fall in place.
Please join with me and my Shriner brethren in extolling this
practice to those who are not enlightened in the year 2006.
Yours in Enlightenment,
Glenn K. Fannin
