Message:: I am an apprentice of the Loch Lomond Lodge Cape Town, South Africa. What I practice is what we lodge brothers call Freegardenry. From my readings on the net I discovered that our rituals are not different, in fact it is the same. The question I wish to pose, why is such an age old practice known by different names i.e. Freemasonry and Freegardenry. Can it be a consequence of the technological developments that affected our continents differently in the past. What I'm saying is that we in Africa are
+/- 50 years behind the rest of the world, can this factor have influenced a split in the name.Literally,Freemasonry indicates the ability to build,construct,e.g.Cathedrals ,Monistries, etc. In Africa Freegardenry indicates the ability to cultivate the land into sustainable vegetable gardens. Is this thought a correct interpretation.Any person is welcomed to respond.Kind regards - Br.Walter.J.Golding

Message:: I have been researching American Revolutionary Major Edward White of Brookline Mass. Major White served from just after his 17th birthday when he and his father responded during the retreat from Concord through the end of the war. He was attached as Adjutant to both Washington and LaFayette. His journal at the Boston Atheneum contains many Masonic references. Because of these references I believe he was a Mason. His father was a member of St. Andrews in Boston as was his uncle Samuel Gore. His son, grandsons and most great-grandsons were all documentable masons of some historical note. Who might assist me in locating Masonic records of those in service during the American Revolution? Many thanks.

RQFC-topic: Grand and Glorious Knights of Creeping Serpents
RQFC Details: Hi, Fraternal Greetings! I am Benny Ty, a Past Master of Manila Mt. Lebanon Lodge No. 1, under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of F & A M of the Philippines.
May I request for all possible information on a group called the Grand and Glorious Knights of Creeping Serpent,(SNAKES). I was told that this group is very popular among masons in California and Arizona. Apparently, it is also starting to take roots here in the Philippine jurisdiction. Please provide as much information as possible so that I and several others may be properly guided if this is indeed a legitimate and recognized masonic organization. Is this organization acceptable and recognized by Grand Lodges similar to the appendant bodies or other allied organizations? Are there guidelines or circulars communicated to the brethren regarding this organization?
I will be fraternally grateful for any information that can be provided, my email address is benny@dynapak.net or dynapak2001@yahoo.com. Thank you.
Fraternally,
Benny Ty, PM
