RQFC Details: I do some research on books or information taken out of the bible. I don't know alot about Masons when I started but during some of my research that I have done I relized that the freemasons have tried to preserve information that would be lost to us all. RQFC Details: PLease excuse me if I post twice - this guestbook looks different to the last, so I'm guessing it's a different book. A Malaysian lady I know is seeking to establish her right to remain in the UK, on the basis of her Grandfather William Edward Newman being born in the UK in the mid 1800s. All she knows is his name, that he possibly came from Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire in the UK, and that he was a Freemason in Malaysia, possibly a GrandMaster. He was buried in Malaysia by the Freemasons, which leads her to believe his status within the Freemasons. The reason that I am signing is to find if anyone knows know if there are any records that she or I could access, to try and discover something about her Grandfather's roots. For example a birthdate, date of death, date he went to Malaysia (he went via India where her father was born). If there's any information anyone could give me I would be most grateful. If he was English, I would assume he came under the English Constitution and hence the District Grand Lodge of the Eastern Archipelago. Would there be any old records in the UK that we could access? RQFC Details: My great grandfather has been said to be a founder of a lodge (Brotherhood of American Yeoman) in Iowa. Im searching for more information about him in general. My aunt has said some things to me about Clarence Bentley Paul (great Grampa) being in some sort of secret cult, but after carefully reviewing loads of articles and information about the free masons organization, I find doubts in her research and hope to find more truths.
