Message:: Many of the men in my family have been masons. My father was a mason and continued on to the Shriners. He was a member of AZAN in FL. I have been contemplating joining for several years now. With a new career as a firefighter/medic i have not had the time to dedicate until now. Message:: My father was a founding member of the Wake Village Masonic Lodge NO. 1346 Wake Village TX. I have been trying to find out when he became a mason. So far no one has been able to tell me how to obtain this information. My mother who has had several stokes is unable to tell me. Is there someone who can tell me. My husband Stephen W. Ditto is 32 degree Mason Lighthouse #5 in Charleston, SC and he is a Shriner of the Omar Temple of Charleston, SC. My brother Robert E. Foster is also a Mason and a Shriner. RQFC Details: Our Grandad came to U.S.A. from Bohemia in late 1800's. He died in 1912. On his tombstone is the Masonic Symbol. I have'nt been able to find records that he was ever a nationalized citizen. Could you please tell me if he would have had to be a citizen before being a member of the Masons, and if the local chapter would have a record? Thanks! Susan
