RQFC-topic: Egyptian history & masonic origins
Message:: We recently started reading Richard Noone's book,
"5/5/2000." It discusses the original uses of the pyramids & the role
of the freemasons throughout ancient history. My grandfather is a 33rd
degree mason, but because of an interesting family situation, it is
akward for me to discuss it with him. I am interested in knowing
several things: is this book valid? what are the origins of freemasons?
how are they related to the design and building of the pyramids & what
were the pyramids originally designed for? Perhaps this all sounds a
bit off -- but this book has posed some very interesting questions for
us & we are having a difficult time finding out more about it. Any info
would be very helpful to us on our quest for more knowledge. Thanks!

RQFC-topic: scholarship information for child of deceased mason
Message:: i am curious as to the options available to us for scholarship assistance for the child of a deceased mason from tampa, florida. my daughter is currently entering the 10th grade and has made the "b" honor roll. she has her heart set on a career as an attorney and wishes to go to an ivy leaque school, namely yale, and we believe her determination will land here there. unfortunately, there is no way that i (her mother) can afford this tuition. her father, Timothy P. Rumrell was a member of Lodge #184 here in tampa and was a firefighter for hillsborough county for 17 years before passing away in January 1997. yet the county can offer us no help. can you? any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
