Subject: Why I have become a Mason
Today, Aug. 29th, 1998 will be recorded in my memory as one of the
most important dates in my life. Today I was raised to the sublime
degree of Master Mason.
And yet even as I looked around me at the end of the ceremony I could
not help but feel humbled by the amount of obvious wisdom and honor that
surrounded me. At the age of 34 I feel there is much I can learn about
life from these elder statemen that not only will benefit me but that I
can utilize in turn to help others. Masonry has had a great impact on
my life in the short time I have been involved and I look forward to
what is still in store.
In short the reason I have become a Mason is to be a better person and
learn how to serve my fellow man.
