Dear Bro.
My name is Elmer Kirts, I now live in Cullman, AL. I was raised at
Laporte Indiana, Excelsior 41, Feb, 1945. I received my 50 year pin
here at Cullman several years ago.
When I was a lad of 12 years, I attended the funeral of the Doctor
who brought me in to this world. It was a Masonic service. I ask my
father what it was all about. He told me what a wonderful organizion it
was and said if I ever had an opportunity to join it I should.
I took him at his word, and at the age of 24 I joined.
I am now 83. I have met some wonderful men in my travels. I
wouldn't take lots of money for my privilege of being a mason.
Thank you so much.
Elmer Kirts
