My father became a Freemason in 1967. I was born in 1968. I grew up
knowing all these wonderful friends of my father (he was a publican then
and had his own pub!) and it was like a natural progression for me.
He re-took the chair to initiate me and when I heard his voice my
nerves disappeared and I knew everything would be fine. When I was
restored to the blessing of material light I recognised so many people I
knew that I belonged there.
I know that we shouldn't consider Freemasonry as a Religion, but
sometimes it is difficult to separate the two. I live my life by the
Ritual book and whilst freemasonry is not my whole life, it is still a
very important part of it.
