Dear B:. Dryfoos,
I am currently in the process of becoming a FM. I started the procedure
with a Lodge (le Cèdre) here in Brussels. The Fraternity has always
interested me but when I first saw a FM's ring on one of my colleagues's
fingers (in the meantime he has become one of my best friends), I
started asking questions and finally also found a book ...
Freemasons for Dummies!
[Webmaster's note: You can find a review of that book elsewhere on
Reading through this book, reading the other brethren's explanation as to
why they became FM, and especially having been asked by several brethren as
to WHY I wanted to become a FM, I think I can say now that the most
important aspect is the will to be part of a Fraternity which writes
principles as Honnesty, Trustworthyness, Decency, &c with captial letters!
For me, even if in many circumstances, being honnest is "out", I could not
act in any other way!
Looking forward to becoming part of the Fraternity!
