Get Involved!

A vibrant student life requires an active and involved student body. At MIT, there is a broad range of opportunities for student input on and participation in student life. The most effective means for getting involved depends on your interest or concern:

  • BROAD AND DIVERSE INTEREST. Most effective means of getting involved include participating in student government or representing the student voice to advisory boards or committees.

  • ISSUE OR TOPIC SPECIFIC CONCERNS. Most effective means of getting involved include participating in a student group or student government committee concerned with your issue, voicing your opinion to your student representatives or at a town meeting, or directly participating in some aspect of student life.

  • INDIVIDUAL OR PERSONAL ISSUE. Most effective mechanism for resolution is typically to contact an office or service directly. Keep in mind, however, that more than one student may share your concern so it may be worth bringing up to your representatives.
