Giving to DAPER

Playing sports at MIT teaches drive, enthusiasm, and perserverance - pass it on to current athletes at MIT.
The competitions occur on one day. The skills learned last for a lifetime. Your gift will help transform the students who will transform the world.

Most importantly, enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you reinvested the gift you got from playing sports at MIT by giving an even better opportunity to current students athletes. To paraphrase, on today’s fields we sow the seeds of leadership, teamwork, dedication, persistence, and accountability.

Thank you!

Unrestricted funds gives DAPER the most flexibility;

Designated funds are a great way to express appreciation to a specific sport: alumni gifts provide an invaluable source of funds that help pay for operations, equipment, team travel and more.

A special type of designated fund, a Capital Project fund upgrades spaces used by the student athletes. For detailed information about DAPER's Priority Capital Projects click on the links below.

DAPER's Leadership Circle is a select group who recognize the superior sports and academic education offered by MIT and want to preserve that unique opportunity for future generations of MIT student athletes. Members of the Leadership Circle commit to a minimum gift of $5,000 each year. Members may choose to give to the Friends of DAPER Fund, thereby providing essential general support, or they may give to the sports activity of their choice.

MIT Campaign for Students: Athletics (pdf) describes the value DAPER adds to the MIT educational experience in the context of the Campaign for Students. For more see the campaign trailer-The Human Factor
