Religious Life and MIT's Board of Chaplains
Religious life at MIT consists primarily of the Chaplain to
the Institute
, Bob Randolph
and the MIT Board of Chaplains, as
well as MIT's student religious groups, many of which work with
individual chaplains.
The MIT Board of Chaplains, representing many of the world's religions, serve both their own religious communities, as well as the MIT community at large. Chaplains are available for counseling, private talks, and program development. Many of the religious groups represented by the chaplains meet weekly for worship, prayer. or study. In addition, more than thirty student religious groups, recognized by the Association of Student Activities, are active on campus.
The Addir Fellows: MIT Interfaith Dialogue Program brings together thirty students of different faiths for a year-long exploration to engage and understand each other in a stimulating environment. Interested MIT undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate.
