Welcome to the home page of MCDIG, the M. I. T. Center for Digital Geology, found in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This is the first iteration of this site, and hopefully the usefullness and navigability of this group of web pages will increase dramatically in the months ahead. For now, the links above will lead you to descriptions of some of the facilities available for digital geology at M. I. T., resources for digital geologic and geographic (GIS) data, both on- and off- campus, and some tutorials to help you get started making use of both the data and facilities. If you are a member of the M. I. T. GIS community and you would like to share data, either with the world, or just within the M. I. T. community, or if you have descriptions of facilites not described, or have written tutorials that you think would be useful to include, please contact us.
