Arcview Avenue Scripts

• CMDLINE.AVE
  • Generate a command line interface to ArcView for testing Avenue commands and checking the results of operations.
• GPS CONT.AVE
  • Generate a point theme of elevation values derived from contour lines intersected by a cross section line.
• GPS XSEC.AVE
  • Generate a table of coordinates and attributes extracted from selected points along a cross section line.

  • These pieces of software allow users to perform relatively sophisticated geological map attribution either in the office or in the field, using a point and click interface written in ESRI's Avenue scripting language.

• EPI-PLOT.AML
  • Plot earthquake epicenter using a symbol that varies linearly in size based on magnitude, and in color based on depth
• GMT TO ARC.AML
  • Read a GMT file containing X/Y line coordinates and produce a line coverage with the GMT attributes.
• LINE ON LINE.AML
  • Construct a point coverage wherein the points are at the intersections of arcs from two input line coverages. Move values from a specific attribute in the target line coverage to the new point coverage.
