Using the Socket Bluetooth CF Card in the iPaq

Installing the Socket Cards is a straightforward process. The only exception is that you will want to use the latest set of firmware for the card. The latest drivers as well as the installation and user manual can be found here.
Once installed, a Bluetooth icon will appear at the bottom right of the iPaq screen. This button will be used for all interactions with the Bluetooth card.

To check your card's settings, click the Bluetooth button > Advanced Features > My Device. On the General Tab you will want the Discoverable and Connectable boxes checked. On the COM Ports tab make sure the Bluetooth COM port is activated and take note of which port that is.

To perform a device discovery click the Bluetooth button > Advanced Features > Bluetooth Devices. At the bottom of the screen there will be a set of eyeballs, click this to enter the Device Discovery Wizard and follow the prompts to finish the discovery.

Now when you run a program that uses COM ports, configure it so that it will use the Bluetooth COM port and the Socket Card will connect to the pre-discovered device of your choice.
