Delta Upsilon - Athletics

MIT boasts one of the nation's most varied and extensive athletic programs in the nation, both on the intercollegiate and intramural levels. We at Delta Upsilon proudly encourage participation in all aspects of MIT athletics. This year DU's took prominent roles in six different sports at the varsity level: water polo, swimming, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and crew. We also annualy boast the most talented Beirut players on campus, with Patrick Petitti '08 a three time reigning MIT champion. Our table is sick.

DU Waterpolo PlayersMany DU's have been honored by being chosen as captain of their team. There is also a long list of DU alumni who have written their names in the record books of MIT. Whether setting swimming records, or being voted All-American, or competing for the United States National Team, DU brothers have left their mark on MIT Athletics.

DU Lacrosse PlayersOf course, not everyone has the time or ability to be an intercollegiate athlete, and DU has the highest number of Varsity Athlete Quitters in the nation. DU fields intramural teams in nearly every sport and level of competition ranging from our A-League Championship Soccer Team to our "wish I could skate" D-League hockey team. In recent years, DU has placed first in soccer, water polo, and volleyball. We have also won the octathon championship numerous times at the highest level. In addition, five brothers even ran in the Boston Marathon this year.
