Delta Upsilon - Athletics

DU Waterpolo PlayersMIT boasts one of the nation's most varied and extensive athletic programs in the nation, both on the intercollegiate and intramural levels. We at Delta Upsilon proudly encourage participation in all aspects of MIT athletics. Our current brothers take prominent roles in six different sports at the varsity level: water polo, swimming, lacrosse, baseball, wrestling, and basketball.

Many DU's have been honored by being chosen as captain of their team, and there’s a long list of DU alumni who have written their names in the record books of MIT. Whether setting swimming records, being voted All-American, or competing on premier sports leagues outside of school, DU brothers have left their mark on MIT athletics.

"Less Hair, More Arni!"Of course, not everyone can be an intercollegiate athlete, and DU has a robust intramural sports program as well. We field intramural teams in nearly every sport, including dodgeball, soccer, softball, football, basketball, water polo, and even table tennis. The level of play has a wide range as well, from our A-league championship water polo team, for those experienced in the pool, to our C/D+ league hockey team, for those learning how to ice skate.

Nearly every brother takes part in some form of athletics, whether it be varsity sports, running, or weightlifting. We have several brothers compete in the prestigious Boston Marathon, and even some that take weekly jaunts to go rock climbing.
