Our home is a brownstone located directly across the Charles River from MIT and is ideally situated in the middle of Boston's beautiful and historic Back Bay. The ten minute walk to campus serves as an excellent buffer between us and the everyday stress of classes. Our placement directly across the Massachusetts Avenue bridge from MIT, in the heart of the Boston University community, allows us ample opportunity to interact socially with tons of babes from different schools and to enjoy the diverse cultural atmosphere the city provides.
We own and maintain the house ourselves, often undertaking self-improvement projects to ensure that our home is a comfortable one. Our roofdeck, which we designed and built ourselves, is a great place to relax in the sun or to show a date a beautiful view of Boston and the Charles River. Chicks dig it...
Because of our self-reliant nature, our housebill, which includes the price of meals and social activities, is less expensive than the cost of living in most dorms. We have our own washers and dryers, and our fully stocked, modern kitchen is always open to the brotherhood and friends.
Our most recent renovation added a Educational Computing Room containing athena workstations, windows computers, a high speed laser printer and copier, as well as high-speed wireless internet access throughout the house. We have also recently upgraded our chapter room and first floor, giving us modernized living accomodations while retaining the sense of tradition that comes from living in a building that Delta Upsilon has occupied for over eighty-five years.
More importantly though, 526 Beacon Street is our home, where we are able to relax, work, play, throw down hard, and most of all, enjoy the brotherhood of the Technology Chapter of Delta Upsilon.
