We at DU are dedicated to making our time at MIT as socially rewarding as possible. Each Friday we have themed parties open to the college community of Boston, as well as several larger events throughout the semester, such as a semi-annual Message Party, a brothers-only Toga party, and a Marathon Party, thrown in joint effort with other fraternities.
In addition to our parties, we host closed private mixers with women's sororities and societies from MIT, Wellesley , Simmons, BU, Northeastern, and Boston College . We also keep up a long tradition of small Thursday night parties in brothers' rooms for invited guests. On the formal side of our social season, we have biannual house formals where brothers can invite dates to the house for dinner, and enjoy a more cultured atmosphere on some of Boston ’s finest boat cruises and mansions.
Of course, we always make sure to take advantage of all the opportunities that come from living in Boston , the best college town in the country. Evenings out at comedy clubs, theaters, and concerts in the area are enjoyed by the entire brotherhood, and are frequently preceded by a dining experience at one of Boston 's many fine restaurants, including the Top of the Hub.
After a long day at school and athletic practices, we know it’s healthy to relax before hitting the books. Brothers can always be found working out, playing pick up games of basketball or football, or up on our roof deck.
