Survey

A survey of environmental NGOs in Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia was conducted from winter 2006 through spring 2007.

The survey, which was funded by the US National Science Foundation, examines the capacity challenges that environmental NGOs in CEE are facing, the roles that they are playing in environmental policy development and implementation, and the ways in which they have adapted to national and international transitions.

The survey was conducted in collaboration with the Regional Environmental Center and contained questions that were used to update the REC’s Directory of Environmental NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe.
