MIT COMMUNITY
-
MST program
The MST program is administered within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, but is an interdisciplinary program with faculty from across MIT. Program requirements, program options, and other information can be found at the program website.
- CTL
The MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics is housed within the Engineering Systems Division, and concentrates on logistics, supply chain, and other aspects of transportation planning.
- SENSEable City Lab
This research initiative within the School of Architecture and Planning is a cutting-edge group investigating and proposing ideas for the integration of technology into the built environment. There are several projects and research related to transportation infrastructure, movement across space, and city form.
- MIT Intelligent Transportation Systems Program
Applying state of the art disaggregate modeling techniques to simulate transportation system performance and the influence of ITS services.
-
AgeLab
Dedicated to research to advance healthy, active living for the aging global population. Current DUSP projects with the AgeLab relate to housing and mobility choices for the "baby boomers" in the United States.
- Media Lab
The Media Lab is a renowned MIT institution within the School of Architecture and Planning that explores the overlap of technology and electronics on physical form. There are several projects DUSP students and faculty members are related to, and often have a transportation component.
- CRE
The Center for Real Estate, also within the School of Architecture and Planning, is a professional training and research group involved in real estate, housing, and other aspects of the real estate industry. There are several courses, research, and faculty related to urban economics, location theory, and the value of transportation.
- LFEE
The Laboratory for Energy and Environment provides a point of convergence at MIT to study sustainable energy use and the complex relationships to greater industry and society. LFEE has fellowships, related courses, and projects of interest to transportation students interested in energy and environmental issues.
- Sloan Automotive Lab
The lab is housed within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and LFEE and conducts research regarding automotive technology, auto
emissions, and engine concepts.
