Bike Share at MIT
Vision |
At MIT, bike share programs can be successful because of our sprawling campus, which covers 156 acres along the Charles River, stretching for nearly 1 mile along the Charles River, with numerous off-campus destinations in the Boston metropolitan area. With urban redevelopment project such as the Main Street/Lafayette Square improvement, Vassar Street improvement, and the Charles River Basin Plan, the MIT campus and surrounding areas are becoming more bike-friendly as well. ” With registered users, a card-accessed locking system, and tracking of bike availability, Techbikes hopes to provide a sustainable system in an urban environment. |
