This is a new directory containing information on
new Cambridge-based start-up companies.

Subjects for this database will include MIT and Harvard
spin-offs, high-tech to no-tech, and will include as much
first-hand compiled information, including short biographical
sketches of founders, co-founders and "low-number" employees
as well as product and service descriptions, as memebers
of the MIT and Harvard Entrepreneurs Clubs have time to collect,
edit and put up for public use here.

Brief historical pieces tracing the origins of these
companies and their sources of seed funding will also be
included when that information is known AND permission has
been granted to publish such data.

Some of the companies profiled will have had their start-up
with the assistance of The MIT E-Club and related academic 
and other support services at MIT.

Some of these start-ups will not have made it through the
first phase of the competition, but will have pressed onward
and forward anyways, going on to become successful businesses
in spite of the 10k judge's decisions.
