Present: Harris Bias, Aaron Cutts, Kevin Dahm, Morrigan Damar, Ezra Erb, Ken Graves, John Hollywood, Brad Johnson, Bill Logan, John Reynolds, David Shapiro, Dave Shera, Yale Zussman. 2. COMPUTERS: It now appears that we will have enough hardware to construct a network. 2a. Hardware- Dale Worley believes he has a line on the necessary equipment. Seeking a Sun workstation with serial ports. Dave Shapiro has access to a microvax- will coordinate with Dale. Dave will pick up VT-100's on Friday (Meet at ESP at 3 PM if you would like to help move them) and will check to see what is working as they are picked up. Property Office thinks there are lots of VT-100's available. Will be stored short-term in ESP office. Bedford's terminals all work, and would be delivered in February if needed. 2b. Software- Preliminary sketch done. Ken still waiting on hardware before software development begins. 2c. Storage- Still looking for novel ideas on how to store the equipment until next year. 3. TEAM GOALS/BIBLIOGRAPHY- Have tried several times to reach Dale Murphy, but without success. Will do goals and bibliography over the weekend if necessary. 4. PUBLIC OPINION: World Affairs Council sent out a flier for us that got no response. Will run IAP activity on January 24 to recruit from MIT community. 5. SIGNUPS- Fourteen teams and $1400 are in already. 6. RULES- Rules updated to reflect change of location and availability of computer network. 7. COUNTRY ASSIGNMENTS- Tentative assignments made pending additional registrations later this week. Packet stuffing Monday evening Jan. 10, 8 PM in the ESP Office. Packets should go out that night. 8. CASCON- Bill Logan will prepare a fifteen-minute demonstration on CASCON. 9. NEXT MEETING: January 24, 7PM, in a room to be announced (NOT the ESP Office!).
