Here is a short posting. --Cynthia ------------- Children Needed as Volunteers: Monday, April 25th - 2:00-6:00pm Allison Druin and Cynthia Solomon will be teaching a course at CHI'94 (Computer-Human Interaction '94). The conference is an annual event and this year is being held in Boston at the Hynes Auditorium. The course focuses on designing educational computer environments for children. In the afternoon, course attendees will break into small groups to design educational computer environments using low-tech materials. Since the environments they design will be for children, we believe children ought to be part of the design team. Therefore, we are looking for 10-15 children (elementary or junior high school age) to participate in these design groups. We look forward to meeting the children at the Hynes Auditorium registration area at 2 pm on Monday, April 25. The course ends at 6 pm. To thank the children for volunteering, special conference T-Shirts and an afternoon snack will be given to all who attend. If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact Cynthia Solomon at 617-547-5297.
