Date: Mon, 05 Dec 1994 17:16:23 EST (with some notes regarding upcoming event at computer museum with peter drucker, keynote speaker, in january, q.v.) - r -------- Date: Thu, 3 Nov 1994 11:46:43 +0001 (EST) From: Jessica Lipnack Subject: Steelcase to sponsor MassNet/SmartState! We're delighted to announce that Steelcase, the office furniture company that makes products that enhance "work effectiveness," has joined our growing list of sponsors for MassNet/SmartState. Kyle Williams, Area Director for Steelcase, has also offered to host our day long design meeting on November 14, 1994. The meeting will take place at the Steelcase showroom at 155 Federal Street, 16th Floor, Boston. Please let us know if you'll be joining us for this important planning event. We need an accurate headcount. And...Jeff and I made a "site visit" to The Computer Museum yesterday, where we were guided about by John Marchiony, the museum's director of marketing. As you all know, The Computer Museum is also a MassNet/SmartState sponsor, having generously donated the use of the entire museum on Jan. 23. What an exciting tour we had! John took us "back stage" to preview the museum's incredible new exhibit, THE NETWORKED PLANET, which opens on Nov. 12. This exhibit will also be open to us on Jan. 23. Absolutely unbelievable. Seven years in the planning, it's an interactive experience for the visitors, incorporating both technology *and* people. It's a perfect backdrop for MassNet/SmartState. John plans to be with us for the Nov. 14 Design Day. Thanks, John. And, Jeff and I look forward to seeing all of you who can attend our "community building dinner" here at our home tonight (6 PM, call for directions if needed). We'll distribute the invitation letter and fax-back form tonight. If you can't come and plan to be sending out the letter, please call (617/965-3340). We're on a roll, folks! Thanks for the many enthusiastic e-mails regarding Peter Drucker's participation. We hope to have more sponsor news in the days to come. -------- eof; .
