The latest registrations from Cathy Cordes indicate the great range of people and organizations--from CEOs to grassroots folks. Exactly what we'd hoped would transpire. Just before we all recessed for the holidays, we learned that Rosabeth Moss Kanter, HBR prof, and author of superb books, will speak at MassNet as well pro bono. Rosabeth has been working with the Boston Chamber of Commerce, studying collaboration, so this too should be excellent food for thought. The big work of this week is two-fold: first, if you've invited people who haven't registered, please call them-- or send out another brief note. Second, we need to finalize the agenda. We've had lots of response to the draft that Jeff floated two weeks ago, including extremely thoughtful remarks from Rick Berenson, who attended all the early meetings. Thanks again, Rick. We hope to float another agenda by the end of the week. If anyone who hasn't been receiving the draft agendas would specifically like to see it, please msg me and we'll get one out to you. DATES TO REMEMBER: Next (and possibly final) planning meeting: Wed, Jan. 11, 1-4 PM at The Computer Museum. Community building dinner (love that social capital)--Fri, Jan. 13 (yikes), 6 PM at our house. We decided to put it off until then so that we could do any final clean-up from the Wed meeting. The usual fine pot-luck fare will be served (somehow, it always works). I've continued to receive calls, even over the holidays, from people of all sorts who are interested. Did I report on Jeff's and my great lunch with George Gendron, editor-in-chief of INC. magazine, who feels Boston is just aching for a successful MassNet-like initiative? Looking forward to seeing everyone again--and to a successful launch of MassNet as we enter the last half-decade of the 20th century. Take care, Jessica PS: I know everyone will be glad to hear that Oldbear (Will Roberts), a true MassNet stalwart, has recovered and is out of the hospital after a truly scary incident just before Christmas that prevented him from going skiing!
