Welcome to MassNet online!  Tomorrow is the one week anniversary of our 
Inaugural Meeting and the energy is still high.  What an event.

In near-record time, we have a mailing list up and running, thanks to Rich
Braun of Pioneer Global Communications.  Rich has entered the names of
everyone who attended the event, as well as people who've expressed
interest.  From now on, you're on the list.  If you'd like to be removed

Meanwhile, we invite you all to participate, posting your thoughts about
the future of MassNet.  And remember:  the first meeting of the Steering
Group takes place on Wednesday, February 8, 1995, from 3-6 PM at the
Boston Computer Society offices in Waltham. 

I'm happy to report that we'll have a special guest with us:  Dee Hock,
Founder and CEO (retired) of VISA, the "first global currency," in Dee's
terms, which was created completely on networking principles.  He is
fascinated by MassNet and we will ask him to speak for a few minutes. 
Jeff and I had the chance to hear him at MIT last fall--a completely
inspiring person.
