Mediators -- 

Several people have asked about some mediating practice.  So I propose 
to set up a role play -- no other meeting, max 2 hours, just do it.  I'm 
thinking about next Tuesday, Nov. 7, evening, but really want to set 
this for a time when those who want to do this can come.  So let me 
know.  I'll be the clearing house and find a good day and time.  I'm not 
going to arrange anything unless/until I hear from at least 4 of you 
that you will definitely come.  So get back to me.

Another way to keep sharp would be to VOLUNTEER AT THE KING OPEN SCHOOL 
once a week.  Even if you didn't do this last year, you could start now.  
MIT volunteers come for one hour at lunch time, intake cases, and sit in 
on the mediations (done by older students).  By Dec. we'd like to offer 
mediation 4 days a week and ideally would have 8 people available.  We 
are hoping people would be able to stay with it to June but don't 
require any promises signed in blood.  It is challenging, and you have 
the reward of knowing you are changing the way the next generation 
thinks about conflict.  If you think you might be interested, email me 
as soon as you can.

Still no definite word from Dean Williams on funding, but we are going 
ahead with plans for another training in IAP.  The dates are listed 
below.  PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS.  I really need help with publicity and 
would appreciate volunteers to send out email to potentially interested 
folks.  Please let me know if you could help.
