Subject: CEEPN Privatization Publications To: Multiple recipients of list DEVEL-L ***************************************************************** Privatization Publications Central & Eastern European Privatization Network (CEEPN) ***************************************************************** I have just learned that the CEEPN recently published "Privatiza- tion in Central and Eastern Europe-1994," a paperback publication in its continuing Annual Conference Series. Earlier editions of the series (1992, 1992, 1993) also appear to be available. For members of the list interested in privatization in the region, these may be worth acquiring. I am not affiliated with CEEPN, but have purchased their prior editions, and found them invaluable sources of information the is often difficult/impossible to acquire elsewhere. Each annual edition includes a chapter dedicated to a particular country, and is written by those responsible for, or at least very knowledgeable about, privatization in that country. The list of chapter authors in the 1993 edition, for example, included most of the privatization directors in the region. Tha 300-page issue included chapters on Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Based upon a fax received from Ljubljana today, all four editions (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994) are available. Except for the last digit in the year, each book has the same title form (Privatization in Central and Eastern Europe - 199X). Each costs $30 US. Postage and handling is $6 US for each book if posted to Europe, and is $10 US for each book if posted to the rest of the world. It appears that you can purchase to sending a check, payable to CEEPN to: Central & Eastern Privatization Network Dunajska 104 P.O. If you contact CEEPN, you may also want to inquire about the 6 publications in its "Workshop Series" and 2 publications in its "Technical Paper Series." I have not seen these, so cannot pro- vide any assessment. *****************************************************************
