BJ and others,

I would recommend two good current sources on using the Internet in
general and including e-mail specifically. LaQuey's book is the type
of book Internet mavens give to their spouses or Office Assistants read
on their way to work via train ot bus {in order to meet the demand: "Find
out what this Internet stuff is anyway?!"} LaQuey is clear, readable, even
entertaining. Krol's book while clear has a somewhat different target in
mind. This work is a resource guide patterned after the Whole Earth
Catalog's of the 60s and 70s {A new one is in the offering by the way}.
I would use Krol after I had absorbed LaQuey and I was beginning to feel
comfortable with the idea of a global net.

No bucks. Need a free/decent introduction? You still can't beat Kehoe's
first edition available for "free" on the Internet.
