Richard, I went to the info session today at the O'Neil building in Boston. I found it to be quite helpful. In the morning, they had speakers cover different topics (taxes, legal issues, sole-prop. vs. Inc., SBA insured bank loans, etc.). It was about all you could expect in 3 hours. It's from the ground-up -- they assume you know nothing about starting a business. The afternoon session was even more useful. We broke into very small groups (according to the type of businesses we were interested in starting). The "retired executives" answered most of our business questions (they are not laywers or CPA's, so they couldn't answer every question.) They also offered to review a business plan if you bring one in. They have about a million pamphlets and folders full of information - and they can also tell you where to go for more information. In general, it was a good class. It's at a low level, so the less you know about business, the more you have to benefit from this info session. You could refer others to this class. I off to get married. Be back in the fall. Good luck with the e-club. -Thomas
