Date: Tue, 21 Mar 1995 15:19:02 EST to: all; re: a little re-scheduling, project updates and some future guests; o jamie rosen (harvard'93, lemelson fellow and mit e-club member) will not be able to attend this evening. sorry, no videos of his atlanta olympics advertising technology proposal in the seminar tonight; we've re-scheduled jamie for early april. o at the e-club tonight: informal meeting with eric mcnulty and myself. we're looking to organise a team of students and maybe recent grads, to start-up _learningsmith's_ web site project, and ultimately a national network to connect _learningsmith's_ 21 stores (4 added since last term when eric presented his new marketing plan for the chain in the seminar). o in the seminar tonight: brief review with architect march chadwick of his rejected 10k'95 entry on conversion of atlanta olymics vendors' trailers and equipment to portable, affordable micro-housing for the homeless. o in the seminar tonight: longer review of dr. jun feng's rejected 10k'95 entry _safenet_, an rf-based personal security system based on his recently awarded patent number 5,374,936 for a technology we think will provide a significantly less costly solution than that provided by dr. michael beal's _campus secure_ system, now in beta test installations in three u.s. universities, at costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars per system. all are welcome to participate. first paper of the term is due between this week and next. e-mail submissions are acceptable and encouraged; then i can comment on them, etc, and return with less ultimate work if they have some probability of appearing in the next issue of _the e-club review_ (save me typing (cts problems continue), or more scanning. thanks!) - r .
