Date: Fri, 15 Apr 94 16:50:45 EDT to: all re: ed roberts' visit to seminar set, 26 april ed roberts will visit us on tuesday the 26th, and has set off three hours, 6-9pm if we wish a more in-depth discussion with him than usual. aside from conflicts with athletic scheds, i'd like to know how many in the seminar would be able to make it for the entire three hours and i'll provide dinner (nothing fancy though), especially if i collect dietary requirements as feedback during the next week or so. if anyone needs ed's bio, i'll send that posting along (from the beginning of the term) or you can have a look in the e-club locker under SEM-095. oh, and btw, joost has kindly started a little WWW project that has resulted in a (draft) e-club mosaic home page. eventually it would be great to have seminar students' profiles and their projects' descriptions in there for inspiration to other students down-the-road ... so please if you're working on a project you are able to talk about in the public domain of the net send us some ideas and we'll include those in upcoming discussions. one obvious start-up case we should assemble in the locker of course is _video streamer_ with everyone's marketing papers and short interviews based on in-class discussions, which would make for a very nice pilot for a series of seminar tutorials. discussion? and please let me know your (pizza) dinner prefs :-) - r .
