Date: Fri, 08 Apr 94 09:29:18 EDT to: all seminar participants; re: "field trip" to harvard e-club next tuesday; also: john senders next visit; also: prof. ed roberts re-sched to tue, 26 apr; next tuesday, the 12th, the seminar will jump on the T and head up-river to meet with mit e-club members and alum and members of harvard's newly re-designed and re-grouped own "e-club". we'll leave immediately following the mit e-club meeting for the kendall square T and get off at harvard station, walking thence into harvard yard and meeting at 7:30 in sever hall, room 110. the contact person at harvard, for more details, is jonathan korngold, harvard '95 and within the day i should have more to post here. presentations will include mit alum who then went either to harvard's b-school, law school or other graduate programs, and this should be considered an excellent opportunity to widen our networking abilities immensely. more details forthcoming. nb: professor john w. senders is headed here again during the weekend of the 23rd. and we'll plan to meet up with him to talk more about his proposed visiting lectureship. an optional special session is being planned for sometime on monday or tuesday for seminar students who missed john on his first visit, and for students interested in following his work with mit 10k entrants now working independently on their new product design efforts. in one possible meeting scheme it would be interesting to sit in with john and professor mert flemings together. i'm thinking out loud here, and will let the seminar know more in the next few days. nb2: professor ed roberts has been re-scheduled to visit the seminar on tuesday, 26 april, with an optional hour beforehand, as he has agreed to a three hour meeting. i think we should provide food and drink and make it an evening with ed, and i hope this is enough notice to ensure _everyone_, especially students registered for credit, will be able to be there. (topics: tech marketing, the global economic scene, national new technology efforts, government and corporate initiatives, and strategies for mit students developing new ideas into products and services). again, more details forthcoming. questions or comments? please! - r .
