    JSS Sponsorship Project
Through this project, EASE pays the school fees and supplies stationery to underprivileged children aged between 12-15 entering their 1st year of Junior Secondary School at an estimated cost of $60 per child. The JSS sponsorship project is currently underway in the Central Region of Ghana, where a set of 25 children selected from 6 schools are receiving sponsorship. Funding from this project came from a $2000-prize EASE won during the 2002 MIT IDEAS competition and from private donors.

Target for the year 2008-2009: To stabilize the sponsorship of at least 90 children in JSS -->$5400!

    The Library Project
The library project involves stocking existing libraries with books useful for basic education, as well as encouraging the establishment of new libraries by communities and schools that do not have one. For starters, EASE will focus on stocking existing libraries with books donated by individuals; we will not finance the establishment of new libraries. EASE intends to collaborate with the African Technology Forum based at MIT to facilitate the shipment of books. Email ease-exec@mit.edu if you know of organizations that may be interested in helping EASE with this project.

Target for the year 2004-2005: Second shipment of books by December 2004

    The SSS Sponsorship Project
The SSS Sponsorship project,in the same spirit as the JSS Sponsorship program, will give the opportunity to those students who have exceled under the JSS program to further their education. Candidates for this program will be required to complete the following application. SSS Sponsorship Application (PDF)

Target for the year 2008-2009: To expand the number of sponsorships -->$450 per child!
