1999 Memorial Day Weekend Trip

This Memorial Day weekend we had an easy ride down to Mystic, CT (the real reason behind this leisurely choice of ride being that I had to break in my brand new Connie...). Andrea on my old Nighthawk joined us for the first time. After some really scenic back road riding, we had lunch at a clamshack near Mystic, then went on to Narragansett for a beer at the Casino Arches and back over the Newport bridges. And a good time was had by all.

Inspired by ``The Wild One'', the Easy Riders take over a diner somewhere near the state border. They have great strawberry frappes.

Note that we had six bikes on this trip, twice as many as last year! If we keep growing by this rate, we'll achieve world domination by the year 2030 or so. Better join us now before it's too late...

(Notice the beautiful new Kawasaki Concours.)

Here's our happy group: From left to right: Ciamac, Max, Linus, Carsten, Sherri, Andrea (demonstrating how helmets are worn in Italy), and Linda.
Here we are in Narragansett (in the meantime, Andrea has found out how helmets are worn in the good old US of A).
