GREEK NATIONAL TEAM

Panayotis Fasoulas will probably abstain from the 1997 European Championship, following the example of the Croatian and Serb stars. There is a big argument concerning naturalized players' (like Stojakovic and Tarlac) particiaption in the Greek national team. Fasoulas, representing many Greek players, is opposing this change, while Panayotis Yannakis, the new head coach of the Greek National Team, is contemplating doing so.
