Handheld and Desktop Simulations

Principal Investigator: Eric Klopfer

The Teacher Education Program is involved in developing implementing and researching the use of games and simulations for science learning across the K-16 spectrum. Projects that will be demoed include:

StarLogo TNG - Developing a next generation 3D simulation environment for students and teachers to develop their own simulations, models and games.

Participatory Simulations - Developing handheld peer to peer computer simulations that put players inside of systems as they learn about concepts in biology, mathematics, and social sciences.

Augmented Reality Simulations - Developing educational location based games and gaming platform to use real world scenarios to build deep understanding of systems.
