HarmonicaNet

Here's a really random idea, inspired by some discussion of alternate input devices with a few people with CTS.

Martha suggested that she should learn to whistle, so she could dial in without actually typing... at least well enough to read news. It occurred to me that a good harmonica should be able to generate enough distinct tones (breath in and out, register shift, and of course blowing through different parts of the instrument.)

All it would take is a bunch of filters (or some DSP code) to recognize the tones, and perhaps the length... we'll have to see how many chords (literally) we can generate, and what kind of separation we get, to determine if we can use it as an effective input device.

It was also pointed out (by Richard, I think) that getting tendonitis in the lips... and explaining this as an "occupational hazard" was considered, well, difficult at best.
