still running amok amidst the Bahhhston academicians, with two great jobs:
Executive Director of the new X PRIZE Lab @ MIT, a fantastic collaboration
to explore the role of large incentive prizes in fostering innovation. Lately, we've been asking the fascinating questions
of how to revolutionize global healthcare and sustainable energy -- fascinating both! Check out our new MIT class,
SP.719 X PRIZE Workshop: Grand Challenges in Healthcare.
Program Executive Director and Science Director for the Mars Gravity Biosatellite,
an amazing multi-university initiative to study the effects of Martian gravity levels on physiology. we've got a terrific team of students from
MIT and Georgia Tech working to place a new research satellite in low-earth orbit to do some really
ground-breaking science. (click here

on a more personal note...
a few years back, my special partner and best friend of many years, andy wagner,
asked
me to marry him, and i was thrilled to say yes! we tied the knot
in
a small ceremony up in the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by mountains
and
music. what more can a gal ask for? :)
the one thing i can tell you is that if i could snap my
fingers and
find myself in an ideal world 5 years from now, i will be happily
juggling a healthy family and a great job in the space sector, dreaming big dreams,
and helping the manned space flight program to be a successful reality. it's been my passion ever since i was
knee-high
to a grasshopper.
so what about spare
time???? (i promise, there is some from
time to time! :)
