E-CUE AY 2002-03 Project:
Pilot Subject Evaluation Form with Focus on Teaching and Learning
In AY 2002-03, E-CUE worked to ensure development and
dissemination of a new subject evaluation survey with
a greater focus on teaching and learning. This effort
was in response to:
- In AY 2001-02, Provost encouraged development of
standardized tools for teaching quality measurement.
- In Fall 2001, SoE changed Faculty Personnel Record
(FPR) to include numerical teaching quality data from
student subject evaluation surveys.
- New emphasis on teaching quality, as reflected in
revised FPR, led to need for improved teaching quality
data.
A pilot instrument, developed by the School’s
education staff and the DUE, was critiqued by E-CUE prior
to its distribution for pilot testing in SoE departments.
The smooth piloting and acceptance of the new form by
departments was ensured by E-CUE support. The creation
of a new scannable form and system testing were completed
in Spring 2004. Full-scale implementation will be complete
in Fall 2004.

2003 are below:
