Get Involved

The School welcomes participation in our Educational Innovation initiative. At this time, we particularly welcome involvement in our UPOP program. Opportunities for individual alumni, friends of the Institute, and companies exist in three primary forms: internships, coaching, and philanthropy.

  1. Internships – UPOP seeks organizations that are interested in engaging with our top engineering talent by providing summer internships.
  2. Coaching – Giving your time to young MIT students can have an enormous impact on their development. Coaching opportunities include:
    • volunteering as a career contact for a student
    • serving as a group facilitator/teaching assistant during the pre-employment training course
    • participating in an information panel
    • conducting mock job interviews
    • attending a networking dinner
    • critiquing resumés
