LFEE/EP/EHO Campus Sustainability (CS) UROPs

The Environmental Programs / EHS Headquarters Office (EP/EHO ) and the Education Program of the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment (LFEE) have jointly developed a program to support a limited number of UROPs (1-3 per term) to facilitate the educational involvement of MIT undergraduates in practical research questions of interest and concern to sustainability initiatives at MIT.

Operational units including the Department of Facilities, the Environment, Health and Safety Office, and the Environmental Programs / EHS Headquarters Office are interested in advancing their environmental performance, and have identified a wealth of ideas and questions needing additional, supporting research. At the same time, many students are interested in studying the impact of humans on the environment and in making a difference on campus.
