Research
Research is likely to comprise one of the most challenging - and rewarding - aspects of your MIT career. Topics include designing environmentally responsible technologies, understanding environmental impacts better, finding ways to reduce our "environmental footprint," and devising the policies that promote environmental improvement. You may be involved in research as part of a class, as a UROP, or through graduate level assistantships, for example. Innovative research is encouraged, and there are opportunities to pursue your own questions in environmental research as well as to participate in ongoing environmental research programs at MIT.

Explore the departments and interdisciplinary labs and centers to learn more about ongoing environmental research at MIT.
