Ergonomics

How long have you been sitting at your workstation? Are your feet on the floor? Is your work area well lit? Ergonomic factors such as these should be a concern for everyone at MIT - especially the vast majority of us who use computers regularly.

Whether your work routines require you to sit at a desk for 10 hours a day, move heavy equipment, shelve books in the library, or perform repetitive motions in the lab, the EHS Office can help individuals and departments reduce the risk of work- and study-related injuries. With a special focus on the prevention of repetitive strain injuries resulting from computer use, MIT's efforts are well ahead of regulatory requirements.

See the Ergonomics Program information for more.
