MIT Sloan Energy and Environmental Finance Club
The Energy and Environmental Finance Club (EEF) was founded last year by Sloan School students to raise awareness about current trends, technologies, and careers in Energy and Environmental Management. EEF has a specialty focus on the finance used to harness regulatory-driven markets, including power and emissions. The club represents over 130 students at MIT and other local universities, 30 nationalities, and 650 years of work experience-much of it in the fields of energy, environment, and finance. Sponsors to date are Constellation Power Source, Environmental Finance, and the MIT Center for Energy & Environmental Policy Research.

The club has sponsored an IAP course introducing students to financial applications for managing weather & catastrophic risk. It has hosted a series of presentations at MIT on energy issues and with energy employers. It also organized, "Texas Power Trip," a recruiting and acclimatization excursion to Houston. This trip was tailored to career exploration opportunities in Texas with leading energy and environmental companies.

EEF invites anyone-student, professional in the field, interested academic, or sponsor-to get involved with the club.
