Spotlight: MIT is a community of over 20,000 staff and students performing a variety of activities, many involving the use of potentially hazardous materials. Many also work using tools and equipment that can be dangerous when misused. While there are potential hazards and concerns, there is also great opportunity to use the intellectual and creative resources to enhance our knowledge and capabilities for protecting health, safety and the environment. In the last several years, MIT has developed a comprehensive Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHS-MS) to improve its programs for protecting the health and safety of staff and students and to assure the campus is a good environmental citizen. The EHS-MS has components to encourage innovation and creativity at MIT in order to protect the environment, and health and safety of all. Many individuals and organizations throughout the campus are involved in the management system. Come to the Fair to:
Learn more about the Environment, Health, and Safety Management System at MIT and the role you play.
See what different organizations at MIT are doing to support efforts for environment, health, and safety. Information and exhibits presented by the EHS Office, MIT ATIC Lab, MIT Recycling, MIT Police, MIT Transportation, MIT Health and Wellness, and MIT Medical will be there.
Come visit other exhibits by local vendors and service providers such as Grainger, Brady Corporation/Just Right, Helco Safety Equipment, Bocou-Dalloz, Alimed Ergonomic Solutions, Humanscale, Triumvirate Environmental, and Envirotech Clean Air, Inc.
